The Schedule of Activities for the Blue Bolt 2nd reunion 4-6 May, 2006 is a work in progress. Events will be added as they are finalized. Tuesday, Apr 28, 2006 Early arrivals meet at the Navy Lodge and make dinner arrangements with friends or on their own. Wednesday, Apr 29, 2006 Early Arrivals – Our leader is working on an exciting event to include members and spouses. If you are arriving by Air, Bus or Train we will make arrangements to pick you up at the station or airport. Thursday, Apr 30, 2006 Arrival and check-in all day You will only need a picture ID (Drivers License or Military ID) to get in the gate at NAS Pensacola, but we will make sure that Security has a list of all reunion attendees. The Navy Lodge registration desk is open 24 hours in the Lobby of the Navy Lodge. Check in on your own at the Front Desk. Breakfast on your own. Squadron members check-in will be 0830-1530 on the fourth deck foyer where you will be registered and provided a name tag and schedule of activities. At this time individual photographs will be taken and later displayed on our web site for viewing or down loading. There are no other activities scheduled during the day other than the Welcome Aboard Party (1700). Get together with friends. Visit the base and Pensacola historical district on your own. There will be one and maybe two Ready Rooms adjacent to the covered patio on the fourth deck for gathering places so stop by to help setup, listen to music, tell tall tales, or just push back. The Ready Room(s) will be continually stocked with beverages, ice, and miscellaneous items. 1700 – Informal Welcome Aboard, pay as you go, dinner party tentatively scheduled for the Fish House in downtown Pensacola with a view of the bay. Go out on the town or return to the Ready Room to meet and commiserate with old and new friends. Friday, May 5, 2006 Breakfast on your own. Coffee and donuts in Ready Room after 0800. 1200 to 1330 - Lunch in WestPac Room of Museum. Choices will be from Cubi Bar menu. 1315 – Golf tournament (hopefully - need volunteer) 1400 to 1500 – For those not playing golf the IMax Movie is available at the museum. An option is available for a Ride in the motion-based aircraft simulator (6 - 8 per group). 1900 – Pizza Party between the Ready Rooms with background music from the forties to the sixties by the famous Populorum “Fly em Hi Jockey” or go out on the town with old friends for great seafood and flaming hookers or hang out at the O’Club. Saturday, May 6, 2006 Breakfast on your own. Coffee and donuts in the Ready Room after 0800. 1000 - TBA 1330 - TBA 1800 - Farewell cocktails and banquet at the Officers Club. The Officer's Club is approximately 3/4 mile from the lodge It has a large bar with a generous dining area and a splendid view of the bay. Sunday, May 7, 2006 Checkout and departure at your leisure.
